I began my martial arts journey at the age of 8, and received my Shodan in June of 2022 at the age of 16. My 9 years spent at the dojo have been an experience of family and friendship, as I passed my black belt with my father, and my best friend with hers — a heart-warming dynamic that I see shared with other students and parents.
I’ve spent many of my afternoons and nights helping out, teaching, and taking class, and consider the dojo a second home. Balance with seasonal sports and school work, karate has always been a reliable constant in my life.
Becoming an instructor has been and will continue to be an incredible opportunity to give students the same fulfilling and exciting experiences that I will always cherish.
